Sage Switzerland Chooses SafeNet to Streamline Software Licensing and Enhance Customer Experience
SafeNet Sentinel RMS Solution Unifies Licensing Systems, Recoups Lost Revenues

SafeNet, Inc., a global leader in information security, announced that Sage Switzerland, a leading global supplier of business management software for Customer Registration Management, Human Resources, and Payroll applications, has chosen to standardize all of their software licensing functions with SentinelÒ RMS, SafeNet’s enterprise-grade software licensing and management system. After several acquisitions, Sage needed to unify and automate disparate licensing systems, and Sentinel RMS has helped to protect revenues, to better allocate internal resources, and to enhance customer satisfaction.
Sage previously operated seven homegrown licensing systems for each of its individual business software offerings, including Sage Start and Sage 200. With Sentinel RMS, Sage converted these systems into one streamlined solution. The implementation enabled control and visibility into how Sage applications are deployed and consumed.
“As we continued to expand globally through acquisition, we were left with the challenge of how to integrate the various licensing systems we had accumulated in order to more effectively support our customers on a local basis,” said Ingo Sievers, Marketing Director, Sage Switzerland. “We chose SafeNet’s Sentinel RMS solution for its ability to provide piracy protection, flexible licensing, and a smooth transition, which has allowed Sage to focus on its core business.”
Fully integrated with the Sage Customer Registration Management system, Sentinel RMS allows Sage to provide automated customer registration. Sage also intends to implement Sentinel EMS, SafeNet’s Web-based entitlement management system, to further integrate licensing into their established back office systems, allowing automation of operational processes associated with licensing and improving the overall buying process for customers.
“Leveraging our strong heritage in the software licensing and management market, SafeNet has helped Sage shift thirty percent of administrative resources into customer service and expose discrepancies in customer orders to recoup lost revenues,” said Chris Holland, vice president, Software Rights Management, SafeNet. “With Sentinel RMS, Sage can quickly tailor its software and services to offer the most flexible licensing models for their customers.”
SafeNet Sentinel RMS supports the widest range of license models in the industry, as well as business models ranging from software evaluation to stand-alone node-locked or remote users. With RMS, enterprise customers can easily implement feature-based licensing, as well as pay-per-use and floating licenses.
