Mark S. Molina joined SafeNet as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer in March 2012. He is responsible for the legal affairs of SafeNet on a global basis, with direct supervisory authority over the company’s worldwide legal strategies, functions, and personnel. He also serves as Secretary to SafeNet’s Board of Directors and its various committees.

Mr. Molina brings more than two decades of experience to SafeNet advising public and private technology companies on a wide variety of matters, including public and private securities offerings, SEC reporting and compliance obligations, intellectual property and protection efforts, corporate governance and compliance issues, mergers and acquisitions, licensing and commercial transactions, government contracting efforts, and complex litigation and dispute resolution matters. 

Prior to joining SafeNet, Mr. Molina served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Secretary, and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer of L-1 Identity Solutions, Inc., where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide legal affairs and compliance initiatives. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary for Identix Incorporated, where he headed the company’s global legal function. He has also served as Senior Counsel for Harris Corporation, and worked as an attorney in private firms domestically and abroad, including Shearman and Sterling in New York City, where he began his career

Mr. Molina received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  He is a member of the New York, California, and Minnesota Bars.
