Steve Messick

Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

As the Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales, Steve Messick leads SafeNet’s global sales organization, and is responsible for the strategy and execution of field, channel, and technical sales teams, as well as sales operations and administration.

Mr. Messick has deep expertise in security and information technology, with nearly three decades of sales leadership experience.  Prior to joining SafeNet, Messick served as the Chief Sales Officer for Fishnet Security, where he led key sales, business and marketing functions, and dramatically accelerated sales opportunities and revenue for the organization.  Messick also served as Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas for Symantec Corporation, where he was responsible for all revenue generating operations, and was instrumental in the transformation and expansion of the business.  Mr. Messick also served on Symantec’s Executive Operations Committee during his tenure with the company.  Additionally, Mr. Messick has also held top executive positions with Axent, Inktomi, and Sybase.

Mr. Messick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond.
