Working HereScopeThe following topics discuss the SafeNet Government Solutions work environment and employee policies:
Introductory Period All newly hired regular full-time and regular part-time SafeNet Government Solutions
employees work on an introductory basis for the first ninety (90) days
of employment. This policy also applies to rehires. The Introductory
Period may be extended for a period not to exceed an additional ninety
(90) days, subject to approval by the Director, Human Resources and
the second level Supervisor. Any significant absence will automatically
extend the Introductory Period by the length of the absence. Hours and Definition of the Work DayAll regular full-time employees are expected to work 40 hours per week. SafeNet Government Solutions permits “flex-time”, but the Company business generally is such that employees need to communicate with each other, as well as vendors and customers, on a daily basis. Working hours vary depending on department schedules. In addition, staffing requirements and operational demands may also necessitate variations in an employee’s starting and ending times, as well as variations in the total hours that may be scheduled each day and week. Some positions, by the nature of the job, may not be eligible for flexible schedules. When We Get PaidAt SafeNet Government Solutions, we are paid on a bi-weekly basis every other Wednesday. The paycheck you receive reflects your current earnings, less applicable deductions and authorized payments on your behalf (e.g., payments to your 401(k) account). Direct Deposit For employee convenience, you may choose to have your paycheck automatically
deposited into your personal checking or savings account. Forms for
this purpose are located on the SafeNet Mykotronx Intranet. Completed
forms should be submitted to the Payroll Department. Professional Appearance
At SafeNet Government Solutions, we want to project a professional image at all times. We do allow “Business Casual Attire” to be worn Monday through Friday; this attire must in no way diminish the professional image of SafeNet Government Solutions. We recognize our Company is made up of employees from many different cultural backgrounds, where style of dress may differ. Individual departments may have specific requirements based on the type of work performed.
Performance Evaluations
At SafeNet Government Solutions, performance evaluations are usually provided
on an annual basis. Generally, the entire Company is evaluated during
the same time period. However, depending the requirements of the department,
evaluations may occur more or less frequently. Training PolicySafeNet Government Solutions believes that successful training can be an investment in our future and we encourage employees to attend training classes that directly relate to the responsibilities of their positions. For any employees that wish to attend training and/or certification
classes, a description of the training course must be forwarded to their
department manager for approval along with a summary of how the training
