As a result, more SafeNet high-grade INFOSEC and COMSEC devices have attained National Security Agency certifications than any other firm's.

Based in Torrance, California, SafeNet Government Solutions employs approximately 250 people. The company was founded in 1979 as Myko Enterprises; it incorporated and became Mykotronx, Inc. in 1987. In 1995, Mykotronx, Inc. became a subsidiary of Rainbow Technologies Inc., and in 2004, merged with SafeNet, Inc. and became its subsidiary.

A pioneer in technology for secure electronic communication, SafeNet is a leading manufacturer of high-grade encryption and decryption equipment used in space and other sensitive digital communication environments. SafeNet products also include integrated circuit chips for encryption and decryption of personal computer communications.
