Symantec NetBackup 7.X: Backup/Storage and Thales CipherTrust Manager

Symantec NetBackup™ is built to protect backup and storage of the largest and most demanding data center environments. Engineered with Symantec™ V-Ray technology, NetBackup delivers breakthrough capabilities for virtualized systems. A single, intuitive management console reveals all backup and recovery activity, allowing consistent policies and service levels to be enforced across the enterprise. Thales CipherTrust Manager is a robust enterprise key management solution that consolidates and centrally manages encryption keys in a tamper-proof hardened appliance. With Thales CipherTrust Manager, administrators can simultaneously manage multiple appliances and the associated keys from a single point making scaling and the corresponding generation, import, and export of encryption keys painless.

Symantec OPENPGP: Certificate Services and Thales Luna HSM

Symantec OPENPGP is a protocol for encrypting using public key cryptography.  It defines the standard formats for encrypted messages, signatures, and certificate services for exchanging public keys. Thales Luna HSM is a hardware security module (HSM) that integrates with Symantec OPENPGP to provide the logical and physical protection of the keys used in SSL/TLS encryption. Thales Luna HSM is the choice for enterprises requiring strong cryptographic security for paper-to-digital initiatives, digital signatures, DNSSEC, hardware key storage, transactional acceleration, certificate signing, code or document signing, bulk key generation, data encryption, and more.

Symantec PGP Desktop

Symantec PGP Desktop is a hard drive file and disk encryption software that locks down the entire contents of a laptop, desktop, external drive, or USB flash drive, including boot sectors, system, and swap files. It creates storage-independent encrypted containers for easy sharing and improves data security without impacting user productivity. SafeNet Authentication Client from Gemalto raises the identity assurance level of all users accessing your organization’s desktops offering multi-factor authentication solutions that protect identities and ensure that individuals are who they claim to be.

Blue Coat ProxySG: Web Gateway and Thales HSMs

ProxySG is a web access gateway that both secures web communications through SSL encryption and accelerates the delivery of business applications. Thales HSM hardware security modules (HSM) integrate with Blue Coat ProxySG to enhance the security of enterprise networks without compromising performance by storing certificates and SSL keys in secure, tamper-proof hardware. ProxySG monitors web traffic and delivers enterprise resources over SSL-protected tunnels so applications are available only to authorized users. By storing the SSL private keys in a HSM, enterprises ensure that essential encryption keys never leave the enterprise, and consequently, that network traffic is always secure between authenticated parties. Thales HSM also offloads cryptographic operations from ProxySG appliances to accelerate encryption processes and further increase overall server performance
