RMI Alchemy™ Au1550™

The Au1550™ security network processor is a versatile high-performance, low-power, high integration security network system-on-a-chip (SOC) designed for wired and wireless applications where security is important. The processor accelerates networking and remote access applications such as gateways and network addressable storage (NAS) units, wireless access points and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) environments.

The security functionality in the Alchemy Au1550 processor is provided by SafeNet’s SafeXcel IP Security Engine—a highly integrated cryptographic accelerator for security algorithms and protocols such as Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) and Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Designed for the unique needs of semiconductor manufacturers, the SafeXcel IP Packet Engine features outstanding versatility, ease of integration, and performance.
