system device that may contain information critical to corporate governance laws such as Sarbanes Oxley section 302 and 404.

files is utilized to assist compliance to meeting authenticity of financial reporting. It can protect against unauthorized
access and manipulation of financial data.

ProtectFile is often utilized as a component of an overall solution to assist adherence to legislated privacy laws that
require organizations to secure electronic information on customers and employees. These include the Gramm-Leach-Bliley
Act, the Australian Federal Privacy Act 1998, the European Data Protection Directive, the SB1386 California Senate Bill, plus others.
ProtectFile’s ability to control access to encrypted files that are stored anywhere within the local area network, on mobile
devices and on portable storage media, secures privacy-related information from unauthorized exposure. Since encryption and
decryption is undertaken on the client, the savvy hacker is unable to intercept such confidential data as it traverses the network.
