Luna PCM

Family of Cost Effective and Portable HSMs

Luna PCM

Luna PCM

Low-Cost Portability

The Luna PCM HSM family offers low-cost portability, coupled with hardware-accelerated cryptographic performance to protect digital credentials for sensitive application access.

Dedicated Hardware Key Protection

The Luna PCM HSM family offers dedicated hardware key management to protect sensitive cryptographic keys from attack. The high-security hardware design ensures the integrity and protection of encryption keys throughout their life cycle.

Internal Processing for Increased Performance

All digital signing and verification operations are performed within the HSM to increase performance and maintain security.

Several Versions Available

The PCM HSM family is available in three versions :

  • Signing — Used primarily for secure document signing. Private keys are securely generated and managed within the HSM.
  • Key Export — Used primarily to generate private keys for registration of smart cards or other identity token devices.
  • Signing with Key Backup — Used to sign and back up cryptographic material to a FIPS-validated token.

Connectivity

  • Luna PCM Token – Type II PC
  • Card Interface, SV (+/- 0.25V)

Cryptographic Processing

  • Asymmetric Key Transport and Key Exchange
  • RSA (1024-4096 bit) (PKCS #1 v1.5, PSS, X9, 31, OAEP PKCS#1 v2.0)
  • Diffie-Hellman (512-1024 bit)
  • DSA (512-1024 bit)

Random Number Generation

  • Based on Appendix A 2.4 of ANSI X9.31

 Features:

  • Compact, rugged form factor
  • Hardware Key Management – protects sensitive cryptographic keys from attack
  • Strong Encryption - supports a broad range of cryptographic processing and key exchange algorithms, including RSA (up to 4096 bit), SHA-256/512, AES, 3DES, and many more
  • Portable Digital Signing - coupled with hardware accelerated cryptographic performance
  • FIPS 140-2 Level 2 validated
  • Standard APIs - The HSM PCM family supports PKCS#11, Microsoft CryptoAPI, Java JCE/JCA, and Open SSL Cryptographic APIs to simplify development and speed application deployment.

Benefits:

  • Economical - ideal for OCSP, client authentication, and distributed applications that require the deployment of a large numbers of HSMs
  • Integrated with major PKI application platforms
  • Full cryptographic API support for easy integration
  • Scalable -  allows for the addition of multiple tokens to meet increased performance needs as your applications grow.
